After sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals, whom just activiated Mr. Pujols, this weekend, the Tigers truly showed they are the real deal, and they are going to be a powerhouse team going into the playoffs in October. They have pitching. They have hitting. And now, for once, they have a real manager.

Jim Leyland is one of the best, if not the best manager in the league. I think he has a lot to attribute to their extreme turn around. It’s hard to believe that they lost 119 games just three years ago and Mike Maroth was a 20 game loser.

I’m not sure about you guys, but I think I’ll be pulling for the Tigers come playoff time because I know my cubbies will be no where in sight. They are the team to beat right now.
