Dice-K Makes His Debut Today
April 5th, 2007 by documof
Early this afternoon Dice-K Mania will be in full swing when he takes the hill in the bottom of the first in Kansas City verus the Royals. This will be a pretty good first test for him. He’s a playing a pretty below average team with a little bit of talent in some young players.
I’m hoping for the fans, and the Boston Red Sox, that Dice-K has a really good game. After reading some more reports, it’s been pretty much confirmed that Dice-K is NOT throwing a gyroball. I pretty much figured as much. The gyroball has turned into an elusive manhunt similar to that of the Loch Ness Monster.
I know I’m eagerly awaiting to see the highlights of the game as I’m stuck at my day job while the game is being played. I’ll check on the stats through out the day to see how he’s doing.
Go Sox! :) To finish our conversation from a couple of days ago, I just like the Red Sox because I love Fenway. Probably not a good reason to like a team. :)
Dice-K was dealing today! Wow! And my Rays took one from the Yanks!
Looks like he might be the real deal this season with little to no learnin curve. We’ll see how he fairs against the Angels and the Yankees. It was good to see Seo pitch pretty well. I’ve always like that guy. My Cubs pen played retarded yesterday and blew the game. YAY!
Yeah, he has a good command of pitches in his arsenal. And what can you expect from the Cubs?
I just think his first 5 games maybe more might be a bit better, as teams wont have much tape on him and not know his tendencies. I hope he is the real deal though, I like watching him pitch.
Well it’s only been a few pitchers that have been giving away runs from the pen. Eyre looked horrible yesterday giving up 3 in the 8th. Guzman and Ohman has been giving up some runs too. Some of the other guys have been doin’ well.
